Poker Players Share Caribban Poker Tour Experience in Personal Blog

Two online poker players that won their way to the Caribbean Poker Tour in St Maarten this week by winning online satellite tournaments sponsored by Intertops Poker (http://poker.intertops.eu) and Juicy Stakes Poker (http://juicystakes.eu) are having quite different experiences. One is out already -- out enjoying the beach -- but the other advanced to Day 2. The sponsored players are sharing their tournament experience in a daily blog, Living the Dream (http://www.live-dream-poker.blogspot.com).

“So I'm out, while never really being in control of my destiny, mostly fighting against the blind,” Brian Kulp, one of two players to win his way to the CPT in online satellites hosted by Intertops and Juicy Stakes, wrote in the blog yesterday.  “But still it was a great experience.”

In his blog posting yesterday, the other sponsored player, Simon Beauregard, explained his ultimately successful strategy for Day 1: “I'm trying to play pots in position so I can build them up when I have hands that can win a showdown. I don't see the need in getting out of control stealing pots when the blinds are small.”

Nine out of 120 players in total returned at 5pm local time for Day 2 of the $200+20 NLHE Event #2. William Hill online qualifier Florian Seeberger was the first to hit the rail. The only remaining woman in the field, Vaea Profit from Sint Maarten, emerged victorious by defeating start-of-the-day chip leader Thibault Saillard in heads-up. Prior to the duel for the title, both players agreed on a deal and played for $810 still.

At 9pm there was a $100+20 Rebuy Satellite for the upcoming $3,500 WPT Caribbean that kicks off next Monday November 3rd. Thanks to 43 entries, 26 rebuys and 31 add ons another two 2 seats were generated and Daniel Montagnolli from Austria was one of the two ticket winners whereas third place granted a consolation prize of $2,700.

The highlight of the day was definitely the $1,100 CPT St Maarten that started around 6pm. Once the re-entry period was finished at the end of level six, 138 unique players and 12 re-entries made for 150 entries in total. The total prize pool of $145,500 will be split among the top 17 finishers with the minimum cash being worth $1,950 and the champion on Monday will walk home with $41,000.
